§ 90.48 SANITATION REQUIREMENTS; INSPECTION.
Every place or business establishment used as a kennel or pet shop or wherein the main business purpose is other than that of a kennel or pet shop (as heretofore referred to), shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition and no refuse or waste materials shall be allowed to remain on the premises for more than 12 hours. All animals shall be humanely treated and any animal having any disease shall be properly isolated and treated. All veterinary hospitals shall be kept free and clean from decaying food and from filth of any kind. All parts of the building, premises or enclosures shall be disinfected daily and shall be kept in a sanitary condition. The building commissioner or health officer periodically shall inspect each such place to determine whether the provisions of this code regulating health and sanitation are being complied with.
