An application for a veterinary hospital license, a kennel license or pet shop license shall be made in conformity with the general requirements of this code relating to applications for licenses. Upon the application being made, the building commissioner and/or health officer of the village shall cause an investigation to be made of the premises named and described in the application for the purpose of determining the fitness and suitability of the premises for such business from a sanitary standpoint.
