All the printed books containing this code shall be deposited with the village clerk. He shall deliver 1 copy thereof to each officer of the village and to such other persons as the board of trustees may direct. The president or board of trustees shall have the power to extend or to reciprocate courtesies of other municipal corporations by presenting to them a copy of the general ordinances, bound at the expense of the village, in such manner as to him may seem suitable. Copies of the municipal code shall be offered for sale by the village clerk at the amount per copy as is established by the village.
