For the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire, explosion or exposure to hazardous materials, the North Carolina Building Code Fire Prevention, including Chapter 1 of the Code, the permits chapter, along with the state amendments of the Code is hereby adopted by reference and is set forth herein as the Fire Code for the city. Any amendments to the aforementioned NCBCFP, which are adopted, amended, and published by the North Carolina State Building Code Council, shall be effective in the city at the time the amendments are declared in effect by the North Carolina State Building Code Council.
