§ 110.05   ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS.
   (A)   License required. No person shall offer or contract to perform the construction, installation, alteration, or repair of any electrical wiring or electrical equipment, excepting the installation and maintenance of electric elevators, whether gratuitously or for compensation, or represent himself or herself either publicly or privately as being ready, willing or able to perform such work, or undertake to perform such work within the village on premises not owned or actually occupied as a residence or place of business by him or her, unless he or she shall have been licensed by the village as an electrical contractor.
   (B)   Issuance fee. Electrical contractor licenses shall be issued for the calendar year ending December 31, or if issued during the year, then for the balance thereof, renewable for subsequent periods under conditions hereinafter set forth and under such proper rules as the Village Manager may establish. The original or renewal license fee shall be $25 per year. However, the fee for an original license issued after June 30 of any year shall be 1/2 of the annual fee.
   (C)   Proof of competence. If the applicant for a license is neither licensed in the City of Cincinnati nor in Hamilton County, but has heretofore carried on an electrical contracting business in this village, and is now in business in this village, he or she shall, on applying for a Lincoln Heights license, be granted a license for the remainder of the year, so long as the Building Inspector certifies that his or her previous work has been satisfactory, according to the Building Code. If an applicant for a license is presently licensed, either by the City of Cincinnati or by Hamilton County as an electrical contractor, he or she shall register such license with the Building Inspector and pay the required fee before doing electrical contract work in this village.
