There shall be a Planning Commission of five members appointed by the Mayor with the approval of Council. They shall be electors of the Municipality. They shall serve for four year staggered terms. At the time of the first appointment under this Charter, three members will be appointed for 4-year terms and two will be appointed for 2-year terms. Members shall serve without compensation. The Planning Commission shall be an advisory body to the Manager/Council in the areas of planning, zoning and urban development. The Planning Commission shall perform such duties as prescribed by this Charter, the Administrative Code, ordinances of the Municipality or State law. Administrative staff assistance is to be provided for the Commission under the direction of the Manager.
