§ 153.045 PUBLIC HEARING.
When a proposed ordinance of designation is submitted, the Commission shall hold a legislative hearing to determine if it will recommend the property for designation as a historic landmark. If the Commission recommends the property for designation as a historic landmark, based on the property being deemed and found by the Commission to be of special significance in terms of its historical, prehistorical, architectural, or cultural importance, and to possess integrity of design, setting, workmanship, materials, feeling, and/or association, then the Commission shall request that the Board of Commissioners hold a separate legislative hearing on the proposed adoption of the designation ordinance, at its earliest convenience.
