§ 34.117 VOTING LEAVE.
   (A)   Any county employee entitled to vote at any election in this state shall, if he or she has made application for leave prior to the day of election, be entitled to absent himself or herself from any services or employment of the county for a period of four hours on the day of the election, between the time of opening and closing the polls. Voting leave shall be unpaid leave.
   (B)   The county maintains the authority to specify the hours during which the employee may take voting leave.
   (C)   Any employee who requests voting leave, but fails to vote, shall be subject to personnel action, up to and including termination from employment.
