§ 34.116 MILITARY LEAVE.
   (A)   (1)   Any employee occupying a full-time regular position with the county who is a member of the National Guard or any reserve component of the Armed Forces of the United States, or of the Reserve Corps of the United States Public Health Service, shall be entitled to military leave for attending mandatory training, without loss of pay.
      (2)   In any calendar year, such employees shall be entitled to paid leave as follows:
         (a)   For intervals not exceeding 15 calendar days or ten working days if the employee’s position is based on a five-day work week;
         (b)   Twelve days if the employee’s position is based on a six-day work week; and
         (c)   Fifteen days if the employee’s position is based upon a seven-day work week.
   (B)   An employee serving an introductory period that is required to attend mandatory military training shall have the length of the introductory period extended by the time required for military training.
   (C)   A request for military leave must be presented in writing to the personnel officer not less than two weeks prior to the beginning of the leave period.
