(A) The members of the Police Department, when on duty, shall devote their time and attention to the discharge of duties according to state statute, this code of ordinances, ordinances and policies of the town and the rules and regulations of the Department to preserve order, peace and quiet and enforce the laws, codes and ordinances through the town.
(B) They shall have power as provided in state statute to perform all duties required of their position. The conduct of such duties shall always be performed to the highest achievable standard of professionalism and efficiency.
