§ 154.035 UNLAWFUL WITHOUT PERMIT.
   (A)   (1)   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to dig up, open or excavate, or cause to be dug up, opened or excavated, any street, alley, sidewalk or other public place within the corporate limits of the town, without first having secured a permit therefor from the town as provided in Chapter 153 of this code of ordinances.
      (2)   Such permit shall be kept at the site of the excavation while the work is in progress and shall be exhibited upon request to any police officer or official representative of the town.
   (B)   An excavation permit shall not be required for work on sidewalks, curbs, gutters or driveways if such work is done in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Municipal or Land Development Code and town’s development standards relating thereto.
