§ 32.004 DESTRUCTION OF LIBRARY PROPERTY.
   If any person shall willfully or maliciously, or wantonly and without cause, write in or upon, or injure, deface, tear or destroy any book, plate, picture, engraving, map, newspaper, magazine, pamphlet, manuscript or other item belonging to said library, he, she or they shall be deemed guilty of an offense, and shall be, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine commensurate to the cost for repair or replacement of the damaged item, but not less than $10.
