(A) If the owner fails to comply with the Nuisance Abatement Order, the Administrator shall issue such a finding and Order the owner to post a $2,500 bond with the City Auditor to cover cost of future illegal drug monitoring by LPD.
(B) LPD may draw against the bond for reimbursement as needed, as reviewed and approved by City Auditor. The owner must then replenish the bond.
(C) If the owner then sells the property or complies with abatement order, any unused portion of the bond shall be returned to the person posting the bond.
(D) The requirement for the bond shall remain in place until it is dispensed with by the Administrator or the Public Nuisance Appeals Board.
(E) If the owner fails to post or renew the bond, the Administrator shall so notify the Law Director who shall determine the appropriateness of legal proceedings to be instituted in accordance with this Code, and take all necessary action thereunder.
