1606.06   SMOKING IN SPECIFIED PUBLIC PLACES.
   (A)   No person shall smoke or carry a lighted cigar, cigarette or pipe, or use any spark, match or flame-producing device, on any passenger elevator or in any retail store, theater, church, school auditorium or school gymnasium. However, the provisions of this section shall not apply to designated smoking and rest rooms in any retail store, theater or church when such rooms have been approved for such purpose by the Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, nor shall the provisions of this section apply so as to interfere with religious services conducted by any church organization.
   (B)   The manager of any place where smoking is prohibited by the provisions of subsection (A) hereof or the person having the control of such premises, shall cause to be conspicuously displayed durable signs containing a notice reading as follows:
      NO SMOKING
      by City Ordinance
   The words "no smoking" contained in the above-mentioned sign shall be in letters not less than three inches in height.
