1472.03   APPROVED MATERIALS.
   (A)   No electrical materials, devices, appliances or equipment shall be used or installed in the City unless they are in conformity with the provisions of this Electrical Code, applicable State statutes or rules issued thereunder and unless they are in conformity with listed methods of construction for safety of life and property. Except when a specific type or class of material, device, appliance or equipment is unlisted for installation or use, conformity of such items with the standards of Underwriters' Laboratories, Incorporated, or other safety standards approved by the American Standards Association, the American Society of Testing Materials, the Electrical Testing Laboratories or the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers shall be prima-facie evidence that such materials, devices, appliances and equipment comply with the requirements of this Electrical Code.    (B)   Materials or devices which have been removed from service shall not be reinstalled until they have been repaired or renewed to meet present safety requirements for such types of material or device.
   (C)   No building damaged by fire shall be connected to the Utility Electric Service until all wiring of such building meets the requirements of this Electrical Code.
