Whenever, in the opinion of the Electrical Inspector, by reason of defective or illegal work in violation of a provision or requirement of this Electrical Code, the continuance of an electric wiring installation or repair is contrary to public welfare, he shall immediately notify the Building Commissioner, who may order in writing all further work to be stopped and may require such suspension of work until the condition has been remedied.
