Whenever any public street or other space is used as provided in this chapter, the person so using such street or other space shall place and keep thereon, from sunset to sunrise, a warning light of red or amber glass or other acceptable light, so placed as to be visible to street traffic. Whenever the space occupied exceeds ten feet in length or width one such light shall be placed at each end thereof.
