(A) Notice. When any heating apparatus, chimney, flue, pipe or other equipment or structure of a building is a danger to life or property or is likely to cause or promote fires or explosions, it shall be the duty of the Building Commissioner, upon finding any such defective or dangerous conditions, or any construction in violation of this Building Code, to cause to be delivered to the owner, lessee or occupant, written instructions to remove or remedy the same in such manner and within such reasonable time as may be necessary.
(B) Failure to Remedy; Abatement. If the person responsible for any dangerous condition or violation referred to in division(a) of this section fails to remove or remedy the same, it shall be the further duty of the Building Commissioner to cause proceedings to be instituted to enjoin the continuance or use thereof.
