The Building Commissioner shall keep records on file in the Commissioner's office, which records shall contain the location and character of every building, structure or other work for which a certificate or permit is issued and a dated copy of every inspection report thereon. Such records shall be so arranged that the full history of the various inspections of each building, structure or other work appears in consecutive order. All original notes or records made by the Commissioner and the Assistant Commissioners shall be signed and properly filed for permanent record.
