(a) Until otherwise determined by Council, the City Building Administrator shall be the Building Commissioner. The Building Commissioner shall be in charge of the Building Inspection Division of the Department of Public Works and shall perform such duties as are imposed upon the Commissioner by this Building Code and by other ordinances.
(b) Any Assistant Building Administrator shall act as Assistant Building Commissioner. The Mayor shall have the power to designate an Acting Building Commissioner who, during the absence or disability of the Commissioner, shall have the power to perform the duties of the Commissioner.
