1404.05   STOP WORK ORDERS.
   Unless otherwise provided herein, whenever any provision of this Building Code, of a building permit, or of any ordinance or statute pertaining to this Code or such a permit, are not complied with a written stop work order shall be served by the Building Commissioner on the owner, his agent or the person having charge of the work. A copy thereof shall be posted at the site of the construction. Such stop work order shall not be removed or withdrawn except by written permission of the Commissioner, after satisfactory evidence has been supplied that the violation has been corrected. From and after the service and posting of such stop work order, all labor shall be discontinued on any and all portions of the building or structure for which such permit was granted and shall not be resumed until the Commissioner has given written permission to do so.
