(A) Residents receiving service under City contract will be provided a garbage and a recycling container by the City for their use. Residents are required to use these containers for disposal of their garbage and recycling materials. All garbage and refuse is required to be bagged prior to placing the garbage and refuse in the containers. Bag material may be plastic, paper, cloth or similar material capable of securing the garbage or refuse during the servicing of the container. Residential service provisions, under the City’s contract, requires curbside set-out of all garbage, refuse, recycling and yard waste materials in containers provided by the City or as approved by the City, except for those elderly, handicapped or hardship residents who qualify for special service provisions as determined by the Director of Utilities. Excess materials may be set at curbside, adjacent to City issued containers, in suitable containers as approved by the City, provided the City-issued container is at capacity.
(B) Such requirements shall also apply to multi-family dwellings consisting of three or more residential units. However, larger containers may be used if, by mutual agreement between the contractor and the customer, the use of a larger container is more desirable.
