(A) Taxicab Driver's License. A taxicab driver's license may be suspended or revoked at any time by the Chief of Police or his designee upon his own initiative. Before suspending or revoking such taxicab driver's license, the Chief of Police or his designee shall afford the licensee an opportunity of a hearing upon the charges. The licensee may appeal from such order to the Mayor, who may schedule a hearing within fifteen days. A second suspension for the same reason, or, in any case a third suspension of a driver's license, shall operate as a revocation of such taxicab driver's license. No driver whose license has been revoked shall again be licensed as a public cab driver in the City unless upon presentation of reasons satisfactory to the Chief of Police or his designee.
(B) Cab Operator's Licenses. Licenses granted under this chapter may be revoked or suspended at any time by the Chief of Police or his designee if the vehicle shall be used for immoral or illegal business purposes, and licenses so revoked shall not be reissued again. Licenses granted under this chapter may also be suspended or revoked at anytime by the Chief of Police or his designee if the vehicle is not in good condition and appearance, clean and safe. Licenses when so suspended or revoked shall not be reissued until the vehicle and all its appurtenances shall be put into fit condition for use by the public.
