(A) Prior to the issuance of any license, the Inspection Officer shall inspect each vehicle, its equipment, and the EMSO premises designated in each application and shall certify approval in a written report to the License Officer when the officer finds compliance with the standards prescribed in this Chapter and with any regulations promulgated thereunder. However, under the terms of this chapter, the Inspection Officer shall have no responsibility and shall exercise no authority in connection with laws and ordinances of general applicability which deal with motor vehicle inspection.
(B) Subsequent to issuance of any license, the Inspection Officer shall cause to be inspected each licensed vehicle, its equipment, and EMSO premises whenever the officer deems such inspection to be necessary and shall promptly report the findings in a written report to the License Officer. These inspections shall be in addition to any other safety or motor vehicle inspections required to be made for ambulances or other motor vehicles and any other inspections required to be made under general laws or ordinances; shall not excuse compliance with any requirement of law or ordinance to display any official certificate of motor vehicle inspection and approval, and shall not excuse compliance with the requirements of any other applicable general law or ordinance.
(C) A copy of each quarterly or other ambulance, equipment, and EMSO premises inspection report submitted by the Inspection Officer to the License Officer under the provisions of this section shall be promptly transmitted to the applicant or licensee to whom it refers.
