836.01   DEFINITION.
   As used in this chapter, "pawnbroker" means any person, firm, partnership, association or corporation engaged in the business of lending money on deposit or pledges of personal property or other valuable things, other than securities or printed evidence of indebtedness, in the business of purchasing personal property, choses in action or other valuable things and selling or agreeing to sell the same back to the seller at a price other than the original price of purchase or in the business of purchasing personal property other than household furniture, automobiles or junk.
