§ 440.13 AUTHORITY TO STOP AND WEIGH VEHICLES.

Any police officer having reason to believe that the gross weight of a vehicle and load is unlawful is hereby authorized to require the driver to stop and submit to a weighing of the same and may require that such vehicle be driven to the nearest public scales. No person shall fail or refuse to comply with an order of a police officer authorized by this section.
