§ 440.12 COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE PARKING PROHIBITED IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS.
   (a)   No person shall park a commercial motor vehicle, as defined in R.C. § 4506.01(E), or any of the following defined vehicles at any time on any portion of a street abutting residential areas, as defined herein, except while actually engaged in loading or unloading or in the event of a mechanical breakdown.
   (b)   In addition to commercial motor vehicles, as defined in R.C. § 4506.01(E), those vehicles, the parking of which is prohibited by this section, are defined as follows (using those terms found in the Commercial Drivers Manual pursuant to the Commercial Motor Vehicle Act of 1986):
      (1)   A single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of more than 26,000 pounds.
      (2)   A trailer with a GVWR of more than 10,000 pounds if the gross combination weight rating is more than 26,000 pounds.
      (3)   A vehicle designed to transport more than fifteen person (including the driver).
      (4)   Any size vehicle transporting hazardous materials which requires placarding.
      (5)   A "hot shot," or any combination of a power unit equipped with a fifth wheel or other coupling device mounted in the bed or rear frame of the power unit and a towed unit, having a combined GVWR of less than 26,001 pounds, and used to transport goods or passengers under the authority of a motor carrier certificate issued by the Public Utilities Commission or Interstate Commerce Commission.
   (c)   As used in this section, "residential areas" means all areas within the City outside of the business district, as defined in Section 402.01.
