Every property owner of improved property shall purchase and display the number as above-assigned; said numbers to be at least four inches in height; said numbers shall be conspicuous and shall be placed adjacent to the main entrance to the residence or building on either side of the doorway at eye level (approximately five to six feet), immediately above doorway, or on the post, pillar or other porch support adjacent to the steps leading to the main doorway facing the street.
