There is established within the Town Police Department, as a division thereof, an auxiliary police force. The auxiliary police division shall be a volunteer force, whose members shall serve without compensation or fringe benefits, but shall be eligible for workers’ compensation coverage and shall be composed of as many members as may from time to time be determined by the Chief of Police and approved by the Town Manager.
