§ 96.38  CONDITION OF STREET OR SIDEWALK AFTER OPENING OR DIGGING OF DITCH.
   It shall be the duty of every person who shall open or dig a ditch, trench or hole in any street, public alley or sidewalk of the town, to put such street, public alley or sidewalk in as good condition in all respects as it was before the ditch, trench or hole in question was opened or dug. Every day of failure, neglect or refusal to put such street, alley or sidewalk in as good condition as it was before the ditch, trench or hole in question was opened or dug shall constitute a separate offense.
