There is hereby adopted, for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion, that certain code known as the Fire Prevention Code recommended by the American Insurance Association, being particularly the most current edition thereof and the whole thereof, except insofar as inconsistent with the laws of the state (including the North Carolina State Building Code), this code and other ordinance of the town, of which Code a copy thereof has been placed and is now on file in the office of the Town Clerk, and such code is hereby adopted and incorporated in this subchapter as fully as if set out at length herein.
