Any person who operates a motor vehicle painted and exhibiting decals, numbers, name or insignia that simulate a city or county law enforcement or fire department vehicle, or official city vehicle, without prior written authorization from the police chief, city council, Spokane County sheriff's department, or their designees, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
