§ 52.212 APPLICATION FOR CONNECTION.
   (A)   Any person, commercial building, industrial building, church, public school, or other public building wishing to take water from the town shall apply to the town and follow the requirements on the application for water and sewer service form for connecting and installing a meter, and shall refer to the town’s utilities fee schedule for the associated cost.
   (B)   Prior to any tap into the town’s Waterworks, the developer and/or user shall submit the application for water and sewer service form at the Town Office for approval.
   (C)   The form shall be presented to the Town Council at the next Council meeting.
   (D)   The Council agrees to act upon the application within 30 days after filing.
   (E)   Any person or user wishing to temporarily discontinue water service shall contact the Public Works Department to request the meter be shut off. If the same person or user wishes to reconnect to the Waterworks, they shall contact the Public Works Department to request the meter be turned on. The person or user will be charged a reconnection fee per the town’s utilities fee schedule.
   (F)   For rental properties, the utility bills may be in the tenant’s name in single-family homes if stated in the lease. Properties with two or more dwelling units and only one meter must have utilities remain in the owner’s name.
