§ 110.02 PEDDLERS AND SOLICITORS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to sell or otherwise offer for sale any kind of merchandise or services by soliciting within the corporation limits of the town without registering with the office of the Clerk-Treasurer.
   (B)   Solicitor(s) must complete registration form and present valid driver’s license(s) or State Identification Card(s) for all individuals participating in the process. The on-duty law enforcement officer will conduct background checks on all participants. The law enforcement officer has the right to deny any solicitor the authority to proceed based on the information received on the background check(s).
   (C)   Solicitors may be directed to leave the corporation limits, by the law enforcement officer, if complaints are received by residents regarding aggressive selling tactics or questionable behavior displayed by the solicitors.
   (D)   It shall be unlawful to sell, or offer for sale, at retail or wholesale, goods, wares, merchandise, services and/or any other commodities from vehicles, stands or otherwise, parked or placed on the streets, alleys or sidewalks of the town unless given previous permission by the Town Council or it is in conjunction with an approved community event.
