(A) The Town Health Officer and all deputy health officers he or she may appoint shall have police power and shall be diligent in enforcing this subchapter and in doing what is reasonable and necessary for the protection and preservation of the public health. They shall study the state health laws and the health rules of the State Board of Health and be active in enforcing the same.
(B) The vital statistics shall be carefully collected, duly recorded and reported to the State Board of Health for final compilation in the state health reports, by the Town Health Officer; and work done with the recommendations as may seem proper to him or her.
