§ 54.08 STREET CLOSURES.
   (A)   On occasion it is necessary to close certain streets for events planned by organizations or individuals. The organizations or individuals shall submit a street closure form request to the Clerk-Treasurer's office for approval by the Town Council.
   (B)   Organizations or individuals must submit a copy of their certificate of insurance with the street closure requests. The Council can deny or cancel a street closure request if the organization or the individual fails to submit a current certificate of insurance, or for any other reason at the Town Council's sole discretion.
   (C)   The town will provide containers for event attendees to use as trash receptacles. A town utility employee will pick up the trash the next day, or as soon as practicable.
   (D)   The town will assess a fee to the organization or person for the street closure to offset costs the town will incur picking up and disposing of the event's trash. The fee will be set and appear in the town's street fee schedule in § 54.09. The fees must be paid previous to the event. Cancellation of the street closure may occur in the event the fee has not been paid previous to the event.
