351.15 TEMPORARY PARKING REGULATIONS.
   (a)   Council may by motion adopted by a majority of its membership declare a specific portion of any public street or alley to be a no parking zone or a limited parking zone for a temporary period of time not to exceed ninety days.
   (b)   Upon adoption of a motion in the form described in subsection (a) hereof the Village Administrative Director shall post temporary no parking or limited parking signs at the location stated in the motion and declaring the prohibition of the motion.
   (c)   At the last regular Council meeting prior to the expiration of the time set for the duration of the temporary no parking or limited parking zone, the Administrative Director and Police Chief shall report to Council with their recommendation as to whether the temporary no parking zone should be made permanent with or without modification or be removed. Nothing in this section shall preclude the termination of a temporary parking zone by Council by a majority vote of its members at any regular or special Council meeting prior to the time limit set in the original motion.
   (d)   Upon receipt of these recommendations, Council shall either direct by motion the abolishment of the temporary no parking or limited parking zone or by ordinance establish a no parking or limited parking zone at the location of the temporary no parking or limited parking zone. Council may in the ordinance modify any of the provisions of the temporary no parking or limited parking zone motion.
   (e)   Upon the erection of temporary no parking or limited parking signs in accordance with the motion adopted under subsection (a) hereof, no person shall park a motor vehicle in violation of the provisions thereof.
   (f)   Whoever parks a motor vehicle in violation of the provisions of a temporary no parking or limited parking zone motion shall be guilty of a parking violation under Section 351.03. (1980 Code 76.09)
