339.13 DESIGNATED TRUCK ROUTE.
   (a)   No person shall operate a vehicle exceeding a gross weight of 20,000 G.V.W. and/or 8 feet in height upon any street in the Village other than a State Route, except those local streets designated as a truck route and marked as such by appropriate traffic signs, and except when such operation is necessary to load or unload property, to go to or from the usual place of storage of such vehicle, or to perform any other legitimate business within the Village. Operators of heavy vehicles so deviating from either a State Route or designated truck route in the Village shall confine such deviation to that required to accomplish the purpose of the departure. The parking of any heavy vehicle on any street for any purpose other than the necessary loading or unloading of property is prohibited.
   (b)   For purposes of this section, “State Route or designated Truck Route” includes State Route 42, State Route 97 or designated routes during special events only.
   (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been found guilty of a violation of this section, then such second and subsequent violation shall be guilty of a fourth degree misdemeanor.
