(a) For the purpose of this section, the following definitions shall apply:
(1) “Relative” means grandmother, mother, daughter, granddaughter, grandfather, father, son, grandson, brother, sister, spouse or any other person related by blood, marriage or adoption and residing in the same household.
(2) “Department of this Village” means Police, Sewer and Water, Streets, Parks and administrative offices.
(3) “Village official” means the Mayor, member of Council, Administrative Director, Finance Director, Law Director and Police Chief.
(b) It is hereby declared to be the policy of this Village not to employ any relative of any Village official.
(c) It is hereby declared to be the policy of this Village not to employ any relative of any other Village employee in the same department of this Village.
