No sign or advertising display of any kind shall be attached to or painted on the supporting structure of a freestanding sign other than the display surface originally designed and constructed as part of such sign and approved by the Municipality. No advertising display or sign may be painted on or attached to any light standard, post, wall, fence or other similar structure except as specifically authorized by this Chapter and following approval of a Sign Permit.
