No sign, illuminated directly or indirectly, shall be erected or maintained within fifty (50) feet of, or facing property in a residential district. Lighting used to illuminate any sign shall be shielded and arranged so as to reflect light away from adjoining properties and public streets. All lighting shall be of constant intensity except for digital electronic reader boards which utilize lighting changes to convey a message, and which change no more frequently than once each five seconds.
