967.04 SKATE PARK RULES.
   This Skate Park is unsupervised. It is available for use free of charge. Know your capabilities and skate at your own risk.
   (a)   Skate Safely. 
      (1)   Helmets, elbow and kneepads, wrist guards and other protective gear are strongly recommended.
      (2)   Check your equipment frequently to make sure it is in good working order.
      (3)   Weather conditions such as rain, snow or ice may make ramps and other surfaces hazardous. Avoid use under these conditions.
      (4)   Know your abilities and skate within them. Use of this facility can be dangerous and may result in serious injuries or death.
      (5)   Bring a buddy. Don’t skate alone. There is no attendant on duty to get help if needed.
   (b)   Skate Courteously.
      (1)   Skating against traffic flow is dangerous and may cause serious injuries.
      (2)   Do not proceed down a ramp until it is clear of other users. Only one person on a ramp at one time.
      (3)   This skate park has been designed for persons of all skill levels. Be considerate and watch out for less skilled skaters.
      (4)   Profanity and reckless behavior will not be tolerated. The Village reserves the right to revoke the privileges for use of this skate park to anyone who willfully violates the rules for this facility.
      (5)   Help keep this skate park clean. Place all trash into proper receptacles even if it is not yours.
   (c)   Other Rules and Regulations.
      (1)   This skate park is available for use from 9:00 a.m. until dusk each day. No person may enter the skate park or attempt to use these facilities when the gates have been closed and locked.
      (2)   No person shall enter or use this facility in the possession of, or under the influence of any illegal drugs, or alcoholic beverages. The use of tobacco products within the skate park is prohibited.
      (3)   Use of this skate park is limited to those using skateboards or inline skates. The use of bicycles, scooters and similar devices is not permitted.
      (4)   No other ramps, jumps, benches, tables or similar objects may be brought into or used within the skate park. There shall be no modifications to existing ramps or other apparatus.
      (5)   No food or beverages are permitted in the skate park. Spills or trash left on the apparatus may jeopardize other skaters.
      (6)   Engaging in graffiti, tagging, the application of decals or stickers to any apparatus or any other defacing or vandalism of this facility is strictly prohibited.
      (7)   Spectators are not permitted within the skating area unless they are adults supervising younger children.
      (8)   Noise shall be kept at an acceptable level. Radios, “boom boxes” or other similar electronic equipment that creates a nuisance is prohibited.
      (9)   Do not use this park if unsafe conditions exist. Report any problems with ramps and other apparatus, or any behavior problems by calling 419-884- 0765. (Ord. 06-41. Passed 9-18-06.)
