933.10 SIZE, QUANTITY AND METHOD.
   (a)    Sewer Connections. All sanitary sewers shall be inspected by Municipal Engineers before street pavements are constructed, and where they lie within the area between curbs of a proposed street or within three feet of such curbs, they shall be completely backfilled with #310 aggregate unless other agreements on backfill are developed between the subdivider and Engineer of Jurisdiction. All sanitary sewers shall be tested.
   (b)    House Connections. All house connections shall be at least six inches minimum diameter at a minimum slope of one-eighth inch per foot.
      (1)    Within fifty feet of a source of private water supply or 100 feet of a semipublic well such connections shall at the option of the developer be:
         A.   Cast iron pipe with leaded joints.
         B.   Asbestos cement pressure pipe.
         C.   Or comparable and equal new products.
      (2)    Beyond fifty feet from a source of private water supply such connections shall at the option of the developer be:
         A.   Cast iron pipe with leaded joints.
         B.   Vitrified sewer pipe.
         C.   Or comparable and equal new products.
   (c)    Sewer Trunk Lines. All sewer trunks shall conform to the following minimums and shall be bedded with #8 aggregate of six inches deep.
      (1)    Size shall be at least eight inches in diameter.
      (2)    Gradient shall be at least one-eighth inch per foot.
      (3)    Construction shall be vitrified sewer tile or concrete sewer pipe. Pipe shall be equal or better to vitrified sewer pipe extra strength.
      (4)    Or comparable and equal new products.
   (d)    Joints for house connections and sewer trunk lines.
      (1)    Joints for vitrified clay bell and spigot pipe shall be compression joints as defined as ASTM Designation, C-425. Poured joints and joints of the slip seal type will not be approved.
      (2)    For concrete sanitary sewer pipe flexible watertight joints conforming to ASTM Designation, C-443 will be required.
      (3)    If satisfactory materials other than clay or concrete are used for sanitary sewer pipe the joints shall meet standards equal to the standards set forth above for clay and concrete pipe.
