A. Unauthorized Users: If any water taker shall permit any person from other premises or any unauthorized person to use or obtain water from his premises or water fixtures, whether inside or outside of his building, the supply of water may be cut off and the amount paid forfeited and such unauthorized person for taking such water shall be guilty of a class C misdemeanor and, upon conviction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. B. Improper Use: If any water user shall waste water, or allow it to be wasted, or use the water for any purpose other than those for which they have paid, or use it in violation of the rules and regulations for controlling the water supply, and the provisions of this chapter, he shall be guilty of a class C misdemeanor and, upon conviction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code, and the water may be cut off from such water users and all payments forfeited, unless such person shall promptly pay all fines and such additional charges as may be assessed. C. Use Without Payment: Whoever by himself, family, servant or agents, shall use the water coming through the water mains without first paying therefor as hereinafter provided or shall, without authority, open any stopcock, valve or other fixture attached to the system of water supply, or shall in any way injure, deface or impair any part or appurtenances of the waterworks, or shall cast anything into any reservoir or tank belonging to the works, shall be guilty of a class C misdemeanor and, upon conviction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. D. Use After Shutoff: Any person, after the water has been turned off from his premises on account of nonpayment of rates or other violation of the rules and regulations pertaining to the water supply, who shall turn on or allow the water to be turned on or use or allow the water to be used without authority, shall be guilty of a class C misdemeanor and, upon conviction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code and shall be required to make new application as provided by this chapter.
