It shall be the duty of the Street Commissioner to superintend all work and improvement on the public streets, bridges and public grounds of the city, and carry into effect all orders, resolutions and ordinances of the City Council in relation to work and improvement thereof; and he or she shall give bond as provided in § 30.20(A) and (B). The Street Commissioner shall have other powers and perform other duties as may be prescribed for his or her office by state law, this code or other ordinance, resolution or order of the City Council.
