§ 70.06 ABANDONED VEHICLES.
   For the purpose of implementing within the city the provisions of M.S. §§ 168B.01 to 168B.10, as they may be amended from time to time, the City Administrator, in consultation with the Chief of Police, shall prepare rules and regulations for the removal, impoundment and disposition of abandoned vehicles found within the city, and shall present them to the City Council for consideration. All rules and regulations, when approved by resolution of the City Council, shall be published in the manner provided by law for the publication of ordinances and shall be placed on file in the office of the City Clerk; and thereafter, the rules and regulations shall govern the removal, impoundment and disposition of abandoned vehicles found within the city, and violators thereof shall, upon conviction, be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than 90 days or both.
