The Flood Insurance Rate Map panels referenced in § 151.021 may include floodplain areas that lie outside of the corporate boundaries of the city as of July 8, 2024. If any of these floodplain land areas are annexed into the city after July 8, 2024, the newly annexed floodplain lands will be subject to the provisions of this chapter immediately upon the date of annexation. Annexations into panels not referenced in § 151.021 require ordinance amendment in accordance with §§ 151.150 and 151.151.
