10-3-3: HOUSE NUMBERING:
   A.   House Numbers Required: All lots, buildings and structures in the village shall be numbered in accordance with this section. (1966 Code § 5.401)
   B.   Chart: The village clerk shall keep a chart showing the proper street number of every lot in the village, which chart shall be open for inspection by anyone interested therein. (1966 Code § 5.402)
   C.   Duty To Provide Number; Location: It shall be the duty of the owner and occupant of every house in the village to have placed thereon, in a place visible from the street, figures showing the number of that house. Any person, firm or corporation failing to so number any house owned or occupied by him, or if, after receiving notice to do so from the village clerk, shall fail to do so, shall be fined not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for the first day, and a new fine may be imposed for each additional day.
   D.   Duty to Provide Identification of Individual Units: It shall be the duty of the owner and occupant of every multifamily building and other multi-unit buildings in the village to have placed on the entrance to each individual apartment, living unit, or other unit in readily visible form an identification number or letter distinguishing each individual apartment, living unit, to other unit in that particular building, such as Unit A, or Apartment 1, or the like. Any person, firm, or corporation failing to so identify any apartment, living unit or other unit owned or occupied by such owner or occupant, who after receiving notice to do so from the Village Clerk, shall fail to comply with this Section, shall be fined not less than twenty-five ($25.00) nor more than seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00) for the first day that such failure continues, and a new fine may be imposed for each additional day that such refusal continues.
