8-2-1: CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS:
   A.   Generally: Driveways across sidewalks shall be constructed in compliance with specifications adopted by the council. (1966 Code § 7.204)
   B.   Grade Surfaces:
      1.   No driveway shall be so constructed or graded as to leave a step, sharp depression or other obstruction on the sidewalk. The grade shall be as nearly as possible the same as that of the adjoining sidewalk.
      2.   It shall be unlawful to have the surface finish of any driveway where the same crosses the sidewalk constructed of such materials as to render it slippery or hazardous to pedestrians, or to have the grade of such portion vary from the grade of the sidewalk, or be other than level.    C.   Concrete And Brick Driveways: No person, firm or corporation shall install, construct, or replace a concrete or brick driveway any closer than three feet (3') from the existing edge of the roadway surface. That portion of any driveway within three feet (3') of the existing roadway surface shall be constructed of an aggregate surface or bituminous material with aggregate base so as to allow for maintenance and future roadway widening.
