9-3-12: OFF STREET PARKING REGULATIONS:
   A.   Number Of Spaces:
      1.   There may be one (1) off street parking space for each dwelling unit, and such space shall be on the same lot.
      2.   Whenever any structure or building is erected or altered for one (1) of the other purposes permitted in subsection 9-3-6A of this chapter, there may be provided off street parking spaces in the ratio of at least one (1) parking space for each two (2) full time employees or each five (5) seats in the public use, public meeting, or congregation area.
   B.   Size:
      1.   Any off street parking space shall be at least one hundred eighty (180) square feet, appropriately dimensioned and sufficient in size to store one standard automobile, exclusive of a durably surfaced driveway connecting the parking space with a street or alley and permitting satisfactory ingress and egress of an automobile.
      2.   Any parking space designated for use by handicapped motorists shall be sized in accordance with standards promulgated by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
   C.   Surfacing: Any off street parking space shall be surfaced with four inches (4") of bituminous surfacing, or four inches (4") of concrete. Parking of vehicles is prohibited on grassy surfaces. (Ord. 417, 3-28-2017)
